Music & shows · Penedès and Barcelona
DJ, live bands, Catalan folk shows and the sound and lighting that make them work. We plan it all around the event’s running order and handle it through a single point of contact.
The services
Book them separately or together. Together, the music, the live acts and the technical crew share one running order, one schedule and one person in charge, so nobody has to coordinate three suppliers.
DJ
Sets for the reception, dinner, party and after-party, with an open repertoire and twenty years behind the decks.
Live
Small and mid-sized acts rooted in Catalan culture: voices, habaneras, folk and gralla players.
Shows
From a gralla street parade to a family show or a cobla band, to give a moment of the event its own stage.
Technical
Sound and lighting equipment plus a technician for the whole event, covering the DJ, the live acts and the speeches.
DJ since 2004 · Penedès and Barcelona
Twenty years behind the decks and the production of the Aura Open Air Festival under his belt. At an event, that means one concrete thing: the music goes where it needs to go at every moment, without anyone having to ask twice.
I work with professional DJ streaming platforms, so the music is not limited to what sits on my hard drive. If someone asks for a track halfway through dinner, it plays two minutes later. And if the group is international, the set travels with it.
Before the event we agree the musical direction: what works, what does not, and what cannot be missing — with the event timing in front of us, because the reception, the dinner and two in the morning are not the same conversation.
I come from producing events and festivals, so I speak the rest of the crew’s language: AV, catering, protocol. I know when to pull back for a speech and when to push because the floor is cooling down.
The names
Each style has its own name, because each crowd expects something different. For an event we pick the one that fits, and that is decided at the briefing.
General name
Company events, celebrations and weddings. Open repertoire and a set built from the brief: this is the name I work under in event production.
Trance
The psytrance project, at festivals and clubs. Aura Open Air Festival, Misa Psicodélika and the Barcelona scene.
House · duo
A house duo. Two booths working at once, for when the event calls for a sustained floor with some body to it.
Funky · world music
Funky and world music. The warmest, most danceable register, the one that works best at a dinner, a vermouth or a party with a mixed crowd.
Formats
Background music that lets people talk. Conversation volume, careful selection, nothing that makes anyone raise their voice.
It accompanies without taking over, and rises with the courses, so that by dessert the room is already where we want it.
The part people remember the next day. Live floor reading and an open repertoire to hold it for as many hours as it takes.
A given decade, a country, the brand’s soundtrack. Built to measure from the brief.
Festival format, with everything production means: schedules, artist changeovers, technical setup and safety.
If Events Penedès runs the production, the set sits inside the same budget and the same point of contact. No juggling two suppliers.
Live music
Small and medium-sized line-ups, highly adaptable and rooted in Catalan and Penedès culture. These are the ones we recommend most for an event.
Featured
A cappella
Four voices, no instruments, winners of TV3’s «Oh happy day». Their show «Lo país mèlt» travels through songs from every Catalan-speaking region.
Featured
Habaneras
Habaneras with Arnau Tordera I, as a vocal trio or solo with guitar. For a sunset among the vines or a long lunch.
Featured
Rural pop
Intimate rural pop as a voice-and-guitars duo. A close-up concert for a tasting, an aperitif or a quiet dinner.
Featured
Folk
Folk d’extraradi: gralla, flabiol, keys and drums. An energetic live set that brings tradition and young audiences together.
Featured
Gralla dance
Gralla players with hybrid percussion and electronics who turn dance-floor hits into a folk-culture party.

Shows
Not everything is background music or a dance floor. Some moments call for a show: the group’s arrival, the toast, the close of the day.
Gralla players and drums to welcome the group, walk them through the vineyards or kick off the party. The good kind of noise, and very local.
A castells display or a workshop to join the pinya with a local colla. With gralla players alongside, it is the Penedès’ most recognisable scene.
For days out with children: music and a show designed so the little ones can join in and the grown-ups enjoy it too.
A choir, cobla band or orchestra for a big celebration, a gala or a company anniversary. Planned well ahead, with the venue and the technical side in mind.
Sound and lighting
Most bands don’t bring their own PA, and a speech nobody can hear ruins a dinner. That is why the technical side is booked with the music, not afterwards.
Sized to the venue and the audience: a barrel room is not the same as an open field among the vines.
Microphones for welcomes, awards and presentations, with a mix that never swallows the voice.
Ambient light for the venue and stage light for the live acts and the dance floor, for when the sun goes down.
One person in charge of the technical side throughout: set-up, sound check, changeovers between acts and get-out.
Power supply, set-up times, volume limits and neighbours. We check it with the venue before it becomes a problem.
Someone who produces festivals coordinates the technical side: the DJ, the bands and the crew work to the same schedule and the same contact.
Ideas that fit
Some combinations that work well in the Penedès. They are a starting point: the final programme comes from your brief.
Welcome
The coach pulls up and the group walks in to street music. The first five minutes already set the tone.
Tasting
A tasting among the vines that ends with habaneras as the sun goes down. No stage, just discreet sound.
Vermouth
Voice and guitar for a vermouth or a long break between work sessions. Close-up and low volume.
Dinner
An a cappella group that appears between courses and gives the dinner something to talk about. Then the DJ takes over.
Castells
Morning with the colla and the gralla players, afternoon with a tasting and a night set that brings the whole day together.
Brand
A themed set built around the brand: its decade, its countries, its songs. For an anniversary or a launch.
Production
29, 30 and 31 May 2026 · Pontons (Barcelona)
I am the production lead of the Aura Open Air Festival. It is the most demanding school I know: schedules that cannot move, artists arriving late, weather, capacity, safety, and an audience that does not forgive a silence.
That experience is what later shows at a sixty-person company event, where the margin for error is the same but nobody sees it.
Behind the decks
From a vinyl set in a small room to a festival stage. The format changes; the judgement does not.

Track record
2004
Where the craft starts. Everything else grows from there.
2004 — today
Clubs, private parties, company events and festivals. Crowds of thirty and crowds of several thousand, which are not handled the same way.
Current
Production lead for the festival: programme, artists, logistics, technical setup and safety.
Current
The DJ set as one more piece of event production in the Alt Penedès, alongside the venues and the team activities.
